Alternative Structures are commonly used on Projects to be able to easily reconfigure the reporting structure by mapping WBS's lowest level element into a different Hierarchical Coding structure. It is possible to include parts of scope of the project and easily share common Alternative structures for Omega 365 Org units. Alternative Structures setup can be found in Omega 365 Setup under Cost section.

To create alternative structure user has to add Name and Description for the structure and then allocate and publish to Org Units, where this structure is going to be used.

Next step is to add Structure Codes. If hierarchical coding structure is used, Parent elements will be identified automatically when inserting new elements into Codes, alternatively user can set manually parent Code elements, Lowest level within the coding structure would be the level where user would typically assign work packages from different Org Units/Projects:

To assign elements user must click on Edit button for the selected Structure code and search through available work packages to be allocated.

Navigation tree can be used to filter available work packages on the right side, additional filters can be used to find right elements to be assigned to selected code. Click assign selected to confirm. Assigned work packages can be reviewed in Assigned Work Packages grid. If allocation need to be corrected/removed, user can select Work packages assigned and use grid's delete function to remove allocation. Please note that it does not remove the work package, only it's reference to selected code.
