Thrives on the synergy between products

“Our goal is to make projects easier to manage, improve collaboration, and reduce unnecessary time spent on manual processes,” says Tobias Sætre, Product Manager at Omega 365.
He is responsible for five products: Cost Management, Contract Management, Change Management, Resource Management, Procurement and Bid.
“Many still use Excel for Cost Management, and that works fine. But it often limits collaboration across locations and doesn’t provide a comprehensive overview of lessons learned from previous projects. With Omega 365, all information is gathered in one place, giving you up-to-date insight into the project performance at any time,” Sætre explains.

Strong collaboration
Sætre, a trained computer engineer, thrives in his role as Product Manager, working alongside experienced colleagues.
His team includes two members based in Ølensvåg, Norway, and support from the Operations Center in Klaipeda.
“I'm fortunate to work with many talented people I can rely on. We collaborate closely to find the best solutions for our customers. When a request comes in, I assess the need before passing it on to the development team in Ølensvåg or Klaipeda,” says Sætre.
Close collaboration between the teams ensures that product development stays aligned with customer needs.
Synergies between products
“When improving modules based on customer feedback, you have to ask yourself: What’s best for the customers? With over 30 years of industry experience and ongoing dialogue with customers, our solutions are developed in line with their needs,” says Sætre.
He enjoys coordinating the five different product areas and sees clear synergies between them.
“If you're using our Cost Management tools, you're likely managing contracts too — and those contracts need to be procured. So, you can handle the procurement process in the system. Once the project starts, it typically involves many changes and adjustments,” he adds.
Valuable for different industries
Sætre works closely with clients in the renewable energy, industrial, and construction sectors. Whether industrial, construction, infrastructure, or technology, Sætre sees increasing use of Omega 365 in the different industries to manage complex processes.
“It’s interesting to see how clients use the Resource Management product to map resource needs and assign the right people to the right tasks. I also see how this forms the basis for improved cost follow-up, and how collaboration with contractors is enhanced through systematic follow-up of meetings, cases, actions, requirements, and changes,” he says.
