The Stjørdal team on teambuilding to Sweden
Earlier this year, the Stjørdal team gathered in Storlien in Sweden, for two days of teambuilding and knowledge sharing. Through collaboration, outdoor activities, and a focused code sprint, the team had the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and get to know each other better.
Strengthening collaboration in informal surroundings
The event kicked off with a joint session outlining the goals for the days ahead, with a strong focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and group activities. Participants received a safety briefing and program overview, along with updates on new roles, namespaces, and deployment.
After lunch, the program opened up for a variety of activities. Some headed out for alpine skiing, while others joined a beginner course with an instructor or set off on shorter or longer ski trips. Several also took the chance to unwind in the hotel’s pool and sauna. Throughout the day, there were plenty of opportunities to connect and strengthen collaboration in a relaxed, informal setting.
The day wrapped up with dinner at the hotel, where conversations continued and the team shared reflections from the day.

Three-hour code sprint
The next day focused on a code sprint, where five mixed teams of developers and professionals worked on new ideas within the Omega 365 product. Each team selected concepts that could realistically be developed during the sprint, with a particular focus on innovations that could help reduce future costs.
At the end of the session, the teams presented their results. The ideas included an interactive map showing the locations of company holiday houses, an app for voting on feature requests to help product managers prioritize development, clearer application icons to improve navigation, accessibility enhancements based on WCAG standards, and a “Bug Hunter” tool designed to collect and analyze errors from customer sites to identify and resolve recurring issues at an earlier stage.

Creating value together
Project Manager Geir Aleksander Steinmo participated in the code sprint and was impressed by the collaboration and engagement within the teams.
“It was exciting to bring together different roles to solve a shared task in a short time. Everyone was able to contribute in their own way, and it was inspiring to see the engagement and quality of the solutions. The collaboration made it easier to get to know each other, and it’s impressive how much expertise and drive there is within Omega 365” he said.
Rhina Advincula, business analyst at the Stjørdal office, believes collaboration drives quality.
“Team building strengthened the Stjørdal team by blending collaboration and connection—from skiing to coding—turning ideas into practical solutions that enhance usability, innovation, and reliability, proving that meaningful results come from both strong relationships and focused collaboration” she concludes.
