Running the Company on Live Data
Running the Company on Live Data
One thing that matters to me as CEO of Omega 365 Software is staying connected to what is actually happening across the business. With more than 600 employees and 20+ offices globally, that is not something you achieve through slides or summaries.
You achieve it through live data, available 24/7
Our monthly live status reports are not static documents created before a meeting. They are built directly on live data. Activities, comments, risks, and trends are already captured in the platform as people work. The report simply reflects what is already happening.

When we sit down for management meetings, we are not trying to reconstruct the situation. We use live data to make decisions and continuously improve our operations.
This is dogfooding, which for us is extremely important. We use the same foundation of tools as we deliver to our customers. Meetings, documents, contracts, risks, activities, workflows, plans, and even blogs like this one published on blogs.omega365.com, e-learning courses like academy.omega365.com, and our own sales leads are managed inside the same environment.
Of course, complex projects involve far more specialized disciplines. Project controls and earned value management, engineering deliverables and document management, interface and change management across contractors, completion and commissioning, and operational readiness all require their own capabilities.
But they still depend on the same operational backbone:
Organization Structure – A common data structure defining the company structure, teams, contracts, and responsibilities
Scope of Work – Where meetings capture decisions, plans, activities and workflows structure and track actions, and status reporting captures progress and trends
Asset Objects (Digital Twin) – the objects the work is performed on. For us this is our software platform and components. For our customers it can be equipment, systems, and physical assets.
When this information is structured and connected, it becomes possible to run both a global software company and some of the world’s most complex capital projects on the same foundation.
And as CEO, that visibility across the company is one of the most valuable tools I have to lead and continuously improve the business.
