Preventing slips, trips, and falls

Many of our offices are in the midst of winter, and during these months, slips, trips, and falls become more prevalent due to icy and wet conditions. Outdoor walkways, entrances, and parking lots are especially prone to becoming slippery. By taking simple precautions, we can ensure a safer workplace for everyone.

1. Proper footwear

Choose shoes or boots with non-slip or patterned soles to reduce the risk of slipping on ice or wet surfaces.

2. Be cautious outdoors

Watch for icy patches on walkways, stairs, and parking lots. Walk carefully and take smaller steps to maintain balance.

3. Take your time

Rushing increases the risk of accidents. Allow extra time to navigate slippery areas and focus on walking safely.

4. Promote reporting and awareness

Report icy patches or wet floors immediately so they can be addressed without delay.

Winter months bring unique challenges, but with proactive measures, we can maintain a safe environment for everyone.
