Held under the theme “Decades of Experience: Built for Success,” the event explored the evolving energy sector in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Topics at the conference included offshore oil and gas, renewables, hydrogen, hydroelectric power, AI-driven innovation, Indigenous engagement, market diversification, and regulatory developments.

“It was a busy few days with lots of networking and some interesting presentations and panel discussions,” says Arvid Markhus, Vice President of Business Development.

“The first day focused on renewables and the newly announced partnership between NL Hydro and Hydro-Québec, which includes plans for five new mega projects totaling $34 billion CAD. With NL Hydro recently becoming a new Omega 365 client, it felt natural for us to have a strong presence at this event.”

“It was great having our booth next to NSB Omega and looking for opportunities to create synergies,” adds Rebecca Kennedy, Business Analyst, who also highlighted the annual Lobster Fest—a crowd favorite and a conference tradition. This year, a total of 750 lobsters were served!

The annual Lobster Fest was a crowd favorite and a longstanding conference tradition.

Centered around the theme “Decades of Experience: Built for Success,” this year’s conference brought together industry leaders to explore the evolving energy sector in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Among the attendees was NSB Omega, whose booth was located next to the Omega 365 Canada team.
