Omega 365 at BIM World Copenhagen
Omega 365 joined BIM World Copenhagen on 16–17 September, bringing together colleagues from Norway and Denmark to showcase how connected project and asset information can support the built environment throughout the lifecycle.
Representing Omega 365 Software were Gunnar Hansen, Business Development Manager, Healthcare, and Per Olav Stenberg, BIM Product Manager. They were joined by Benedicte Kirstine Muus, Solution Analyst, and Bjarne Topp Haugland, General Manager of Omega 365 Denmark, from the Copenhagen office.
With more than 2,500 participants, BIM World Copenhagen provided a good opportunity to meet existing customers and partners, as well as organizations discovering Omega 365 for the first time.
Connecting BIM with the rest of the project
BIM was naturally a central topic throughout the event. Building Information Modelling (BIM) uses digital models to represent buildings and infrastructure, bringing together information about the project in one place. Many conversations focused on how these models can be connected with IoT (Internet of Things), where sensors and connected devices provide real-time data, as well as documents, workflows, schedules and other project information in Omega 365.
4D planning was another recurring topic, with visitors interested in how 3D models and project schedules can be brought together to provide a clearer view of progress and project development.
“BIM becomes much more useful when the model is connected to the information around it. By linking models with schedules, project data and live updates, you can use BIM as part of the way you manage and follow up a project, rather than treating it as something separate,” says Per Olav Stenberg.
This approach reflects Omega 365’s focus on connecting BIM with the wider project and asset lifecycle, giving users access to relevant information in one connected environment.

BIM, 4D planning, and connected project information were key topics throughout the event.
From presentation to conversation
Omega 365 also took to the stage during the event with a presentation on how BIM models can support better decision-making. The presentation attracted a good audience and led to several conversations afterwards, including with companies that were new to Omega 365.
For some of these visitors, seeing the platform in action helped put the different capabilities into context and sparked discussions about how the Omega 365 software could be used in their own projects.
“Events like this are a good way of showing what is possible when you connect BIM with the rest of the project information. Once people see how the different parts fit together, the conversation quickly becomes about how they could use it in their own projects,” says Stenberg.
Building connections in Denmark and beyond
The Copenhagen team also played an important role throughout the event, from setting up the stand to welcoming visitors and continuing conversations with potential customers.
Omega 365 has an established presence in Norway and an expanding presence in Denmark. The Copenhagen office, established in 2019, supports customers across Denmark and Europe with the sale, development, implementation and support of Omega 365 and Pims solutions.
At the same time, there are still many organizations across Europe that are getting to know Omega 365 for the first time. BIM World Copenhagen provided an opportunity to introduce the platform to a broader audience and demonstrate how BIM, IoT, project information and asset data can be connected in one environment.
The event resulted in conversations with existing customers, new contacts and potential opportunities, while giving more organizations an introduction to Omega 365 and its approach to connected project and asset management.
