Manage the redlining process
Introduction
We are releasing a new feature aimed at enhancing the management of document redlining. This addition allows users to define who can redline a document and who has the authority to verify and approve changes. An integrated markup tool is also included to facilitate the redlining process directly within the platform.
Key Features
User Permissions for Redlining: Specify which team members are allowed to make redline edits to documents, ensuring that only authorized individuals can propose changes.
Approval Workflow: Designate approvers who can verify and approve or reject proposed changes, streamlining the decision-making process.
Integrated Markup Tool: Utilize the built-in tool to highlight text, insert comments, and track changes in real-time, making the redlining process more efficient.
How It Works
The team members to be involved in the redlining process is selected in the distribution setup. Distribution groups and rules can be used to automatically apply the team members efficently.
To initiate the redlining process, select "Initiate Redlining" from the Distribution toolbar-button. The persons involved will then be notified.
The redliners can use the integrated tool directly in the web browser. The file does not need to be checked out, as the markups are saved seperately. The redliners can see each others markups, similar to the review process.
Once the redliners have completed their work, the document can be verified and approved. The approver will set the status and finalize the redlining. If required, a new revision will then be produced.
Availability
The new feature will become available in the first week of December.
