Improved filtering with full-text index word search

Full-text index search is a fast and efficient way of finding the data you need. The enhanced filtering feature is now available in Scope Items, and will soon be available in other registers.

When filtering for data the full-text word search enhance the way you filter and search for data.

With full-text word search you can:

  • Search across multiple fields, and related data
  • Search using specific keyword or phrasing improving the accuracy
  • Get search results really fast

In registers where the new full-text word feature is available, you will see the an icon in the column where it can be used. In Scope Items it is shown here:

The column with this icon will, by default, use the full-text word search feature. However, if one wants to filter in the traditional way, they can select the method by clicking on the same icon:

or click on the funnel icon which gives you additional choices:

When using the full-text word search note the following:

  • You can type in several words, the order does not matter. E.g you can search for "linking WBS Scope", it will find "WBS Scope Items Linking"
  • You need to inlcude the beginning of each word. E.g. if you type "sco" it will be find "scope", "scoping" etc. But if you type "ope" it will not find "scope"

This new feature is now available in Scope Items. And will soon be made availalbe in other registers.
