This year, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) receives a new donation for the third year in a row. Communications Manager at Omega 365, Lauren McPherson Simonsen, is proud to be part of the NRC's important work. Over the course of 2025, the humanitarian organization will receive a total of NOK 600,000, with monthly donations of NOK 50,000, as Omega 365 did last year.  

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council because we recognize the importance of contributing to a global community focused on human dignity, regardless of the situation,” says Simonsen.  

She says that the feedback from team members has been very positive. Simonsen is pleased that the NRC's systematic and effective work is being directed where it is most needed.  

“Ninety percent of the proceeds go directly to the cause. We know that the contribution reaches those who need it most,” says the Communications Manager.

“While a large Christmas gift can be visible and exciting, the monthly contributions really make a difference. They provide stability, liquidity, and the opportunity for the Norwegian Refugee Council to carry out its year-round work in the best possible way. This is the support that counts the most in the long run,” says Simonsen. 

Jan Egeland, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, has witnessed  enormous suffering globally throughout the year.  

“2024 was a bleak year with far too much suffering. I saw that when I visited Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and both sides of conflict-torn Sudan. But I also saw more generosity and good work than ever before from our field colleagues and partners in the private sector,” says Egeland.
